Howdy -- hmm, do you know anything that may have changed recently?

One thing you may want to try is reinstalling Webmin though, if a file is missing, that would reinstall the missing file.

I literally was editing a file in the public_html folder and the next page hit was this error.

Reinstalling webmin? Can that be done without destroying everything? I’ve spent days getting it setup and thought everything was perfect till now..

Ok..

So I reinstalled using directions from https://doxfer.webmin.com/Webmin/Reinstall basically yum/uninstall/install webmin..

But, now that I can get in, where did virtualmin go?

How do I get that back?

oh great.... I just realized everything is gone.... :(

websites gone... all of them... down... ugh..

I'm sorry that you ran into an issue with this!

I realize after reading my comment above that I should have provided some detail on how to go about that in my initial post.

Uninstalling Webmin is okay, so long as there's nothing else installed that is dependent on that.

I suspect what may have happened in your case, is it ended up removing a number of dependencies when removing the package.

If you ever need to do that in the future, what I'd suggest is an in-place reinstall, using something like this:

yum reinstall webmin

That will reinstall the Webmin package without affecting the dependencies (or config files).

I again apologize that you ran into an issue with the above, we certainly never want to see someone lose a working installation.

Please feel free to let us know if you need any additional assistance with this or anything else!
