I want to use DNS based validation on some domains as .wellknown folder causes some problems with apps like nextcloud etc which check public_html folder for extra files. Using DNS based validation for Lets Encrypt will solve me this problem. Is it possible in Virtualmin Pro ?

If you have the latest version of Virtualmin, DNS-based validation should just happen automatically. Web-based will be tried first, with an automatic fallback to DNS (assuming the zone is hosted on the same system).

I dont want to use web based validation as it creates .wellknown folder in public_html. I want to straight away use DNS based. Can you make it optional to have DNS based validation as first preference.
I have everything on the same server (DNS, Database etc on single server)

There's no harm (that I know of) for Virtualmin to try web-based validation first, and it keeps the UI and code simpler.
