This is the second time i need to come here and report similar problem, or to say oversight in updating the current software:
From phpMyAdmin:
A newer version of phpMyAdmin is available and you should consider upgrading. The newest version is 4.4.15.10, released on 2017-01-23.
Its been a month and you still didnt roll out this update, and if i count from the time when 4.4.15.7 was released (https://www.phpmyadmin.net/files/4.4.15.7/) its been 7 months without any update.
And now something i already reported several times, actually this problem is present quite some time:
From Virtualmin -> Install Scripts -> phpMyAdmin: Version 4.6.6 is available
This version isnt compatible with Centos 7 and default php 5.4 but is still offered to be installed even if you try it will fail (of course).
Make your mind, offer PHP 5.6 installation from Virtualmin or remove incorrect updates/installations.

Thanks for pointing this out - the 4.4.x series was dropped accidentally as it appeared to be unsupported. I will add it back in an update to the script installer.
