In the server tamplates, the option "Add sub-domain DNS records to parent domain?" is greyed out (can't be changed), unless the "Add SPF DNS record?" is set to "Yes, with server's IP address".
These two options shouldn't be related (unless virtualmin enforces a politeness policy on the user? :) )
