'make destination directory' in scheduled backups breaks if the parent directory doesn't exist yet

Hello,

I've noticed that the scheduled backups aren't creating the destination directories recursively, ie not like 'mkdir -p', and thus fail if the full parent path doesn't exist yet.

Is this intended?
