We're on Debian Lenny with Apache disabled using Nginx as web server having issues with fcgi processed being killed by a VM script called fcgiclear.pl
My colleague sent me the following comment on his findings:
I just spent the last hour trying to figure out what happened here and it turns out that virtualmin/webmin is the likely culprit. If you do "crontab -l" as root, you will see a script called fcgiclear.pl
What it apparently does is to supposedly kill runaway fcgi processes but it's just killing all fcgi processes and probably in a very unfriendly way.
Any pointers as to what might help resolving this would be very much appreciated.
