Limit Reseller to X number top level servers

I want to create a reseller who can create 5 top level servers and unlimited sub servers. How to achieve this ?

Howdy -- hmm, looking into this, it appears the resellers can only be restricted by total number of Virtual Servers and Sub-Servers combined. There isn't currently a way to restrict the number of top-level Virtual Servers.

We've talked a little recently about what features might be needed or useful for resellers, and we'll go over your idea here to see if that's something we can implement.

I really think virtualmin needs to improve on this front. To use virtualmin for business you cant give every reseller unlimited.

Even for a normal user/top level virtualserver user there are only 2 options.

1) Unlimited subservers which can be subdomains of top level virtual server or even new top level domains

2) Unlimited subservers which can only be subdomains of top level virtual server

Virtualmin's both competitors cPanel and Plesk have this implemented properly. I hate to go to any other panel. But I am just unable to use virtualmin for business.

singhdd - can you clarify what you mean by "top-level servers" ? Do you mean domain names like foo.com , bar.com , etc? Or do you mean Virtualmin virtual servers with their own separate admin logins?

From "top level virtual server" I mean the Virtualmin virtual server with their own admin login.

For domain like foo.com or bar.com or domain.com, I use "top-level domain"

Ok, that makes a lot of sense. We will work on implementing this for the next release.

This has been implemented, and will be included in the next release.
