"Bandwidth"

I know the industry calls this bandwidth but it isn't bandwidth...it's data transfer. Why not call it what it is?

Howdy -- well, mostly because of what you just said -- that's a name people are familiar with and expect to see.

We have considered changing some naming schemes at some point in the future though, and we'll keep that idea in mind.
