In the install scripts area i am unable to check whcms. it simply refuses to click. The dot is actually shifted to the left of the column that the rest of the choices are.

Howdy -- what browser/version is it that you're using there?
And does it by chance work in a different browser?

google chrome latest version. Honestly even if it does work in another version I do not use another browser at all. For troubleshooting purposes i tried it in IE 11 with the same results.

Yup, I'm not asking you to switch browsers, just trying to do some troubleshooting so we can try and reproduce the issue.
What theme are you using, is it Authentic? If so, which Authentic version is it?

Okay, I do see the radio button being shifted over. I'll point that out to Ilia.
However, I was able to install WHMCS by ignoring the radio button, and just clicking the green checkbox that shows up when hovering over that line. Does that work in your case?

Okay, Ilia was able to reproduce this issue, so the radio button issue should be resolved in the next Authentic version.
What a funny bug :D. Thanks for reporting it. I will fix it in 18.01 in few days.
