Too many updates/upgrades

Hi,

I installed Virtualmin on my server. However, after 4 weeks, I realize that Ubuntu's updates/upgrades are very frequent. Every time I run the updates/upgrades, the server stops working properly. I understand the updates/upgrades are essential part of the development and security issues. However, I'd like to know if there is a way to keep websites up and running while Ubuntu updates (setting up a mirror server or something).

Thanks in advance for your help.

Regards,

Luis

Howdy -- updating the packages available to your distribution should always be a safe operation, that shouldn't ever stop your sites from working.

If it does, that may indicate a different problem.

We'd probably need to review what packages were updated, along with verifying which software repositories are enabled. If alternate or non-standard repositories are setup there, that could be the source of the issue.

However, it looks like you're using Virtualmin GPL there. The support area is for folks using Virtualmin Pro, or those who purchased a support incident.

If you're interested in using free support, we'd encourage you to post this onto the Forums. We monitor the Forums, along with lots of wonderful folks in the community!

Alternatively, you could also purchase a support incident, and then we'd be happy to review the issue you're seeing with you here.
