Software Package Updates [#39245]

We use yum-cron on all our CentOS based Virtualmin servers to get all OS updates run automatically on daily basis.

I wonder if Virtualmin's "Software Package Updates" is for the same purpose and if yes then should we set the "Check for updates on schedule?" to "No"?

If no then if this option for only Webmin/Virtualmin related updates and how we should ideally set both options to avoid overlapping the same functions?

Howdy -- any package updates for Virtualmin are installed via yum.

So if you have an automated process that is performing your yum updates, you would not need to run that from within Virtualmin.
