I'm getting the following message in /var/log/maillog when trying to start postfix

Feb 19 22:17:42 blacsk543 postfix/master[25830]: fatal: pipe: Cannot allocate memory
I have the following resources free

total used free shared buffers cached
Mem: 512 325 186 0 0 0
-/+ buffers/cache: 325 186
Swap: 0 0 0
This is a VPS so i'm not able to create any swap space
