hi, i have search online how to enable mb_substr() function, but i cant find anywhere, can you help me how to do it myself please, i am using virtualmin with php version 5.4

Howdy -- it sounds like you may need the PHP "mbstring" module. That provides the mb_substr package.
It looks like you're using Virtualmin GPL there though, so if you had any followup questions, you'd want to ask those in the Forums. We monitor the Forums, along with lots of wonderful folks in the community. Thanks!

hi thanks for the quick response.
i have that mbstring module installed, my virtualmin uses multi version of php which are 5.3 and the newly installed 5.4 please help me how can i enable the mbstring in virtualmin, can you guide me please or is there any specific link in google that i can follow? thanks

Unfortunately, the PHP 5.4 available from the CentOS SCL repository doesn't provide the mbstring module, to my knowledge. If it is installed though, you'd want to make sure that PHP is loading mbstring.
