S3 Connection Timeout during backup

It seems that if I run several backups (three in my case) to S3 simultaneously, Virtualmin will try to do the backup for a short while and then die as follows:

--- Backup screen ---
Backup Virtual Servers

Starting backup of 1 domains to Amazon S3 bucket dp1-vm-backup-full-2008-11-25_15-43-55-d ..

[[A longish wait here (around 30 seconds to a minutue)]]

Failed to create S3 bucket : Your socket connection to the server was not read from or written to within the timeout period. Idle connections will be closed.

Backup failed! See the progress output above for the reason why.
---------

My main concern here is that long backups could fail to backup to S3 due to this time out not being handled. It is also possible that running these three backups at the same time is causing a lockup problem. If I launch each backup few seconds after the other everything works fine and the backups complete in under a minute.

I am using one backup file, and I am backing up everything possible except home directories and MySQL databases (as these are stores on EBS volumes).

I am using Amazon EC2. If you need any more details please let me know.

Many thanks,

Adam Charnock
