What happens if to switch "Regular files under base directory" to "LVM volume group" in working Cloudmin system?

When setting up a Cloudmin system I configured "Create disk images in" to "Regular files under base" and created several guest systems, which are now in production. I found out later that "LVM volume group" was better option and now would like to switch to it. So I have couple question with regard to this:

  1. What happens if to switch "Regular files under base directory" to "LVM volume group" in working Cloudmin system? Won't it break already running guest systems?

  2. How do I transfer already running guest systems to LVM based systems?

  1. This won't effect running systems at all, only new ones.

  2. You can move a disk to the new storage location at Resources -> Manage Disks by clicking on a disk.
