Package Update Issue

After activating Package Updates the system information page will not display. Can anyone help to resolve this?

HTTP/1.0 500 Perl execution failed Server: MiniServ/0.01 Date: Wed, 20 Aug 2014 14:13:21 GMT Content-type: text/html Connection: close Error - Perl execution failed

Undefined subroutine &virtual_server::ui_alert_box called at /usr/share/webmin/virtual-server/virtual-server-lib-funcs.pl line 10468.

Howdy -- I wasn't able to reproduce the issue you're seeing.

What distro/version is it that you're using? And what Webmin version do you have there?

Also, does it help to restart Webmin? You can do that by running this command:

/etc/init.d/webmin restart

Lastly, are you using a dedicated server, or a VPS? If it's a VPS, are you by chance using OpenVZ?

Linux VPS Pro (ubuntu8.04) and Virtualmin 4.09

I've restarted Webmin but this hasn't helped.

We're using a VPS but I don't know if we're using OpenVZ - how can I find this out?

What is the output of these two commands:

dpkg -l webmin
cat /proc/user_beancounters

If the file in the second command exists, that means you have an OpenVZ-based VPS. The output in that file may be helpful regarding your issue.

Also, which Webmin version are you running? It may be out of date for Virtualmin.
