Failed to save mailbox : Home directory must be an existing directory for website FTP users

I have 'abc' Virtual server administrator user which has '/home/abc' as home directory, which is also a document root of 'test.xyz.com'.

We wanted to create new sFTP user with '/home/abc/public_html/blog' as home directory.

I have followed below steps to create new sFTP user:

Selected my domain -> Edit Users -> Add a website FTP access user filled up form with below entities: Username : newuser Real name : newuser.test.xyz.com Password : xxxxxxx Quota & Home Directory Settings : Ticked 'Website subdirectory' option -> type in box 'public_html/blog' Other user permissions -> Login permissions -> FTP only Create

After doing this it shows below error: Failed to save mailbox : Home directory must be an existing directory for website FTP users

Please help i m stuck from so long.

Howdy -- when creating a Website Access FTP User, you would need to use a directory that currently exists for the home directory.

You can use public_html/blog if you want, but to do so, you would just need to create that "blog" directory before creating the user.

This Support area here is for folks using Virtualmin Pro though. It looks like you're using Virtualmin GPL there... if you had any followup questions, we'd encourage you to use the Forums for support. We monitor the Forums, along with lots of wonderful folks in the community. Thanks!
