Hi Guys,
Do you have any plans to support the Amazon Linux AMI 2013 releases? Virtualmin install script only supports up to Amazon 2012, but I can see there's Virtualmin RPMs for 2013.03 here http://software.virtualmin.com/gpl/amazon/
Best wishes!

I'm passing this over to Joe, who handles Amazon Linux support.

Can you attempt the Amazon Linux installation again, and see if that works properly for you?
If you run into any issues, can you show us what error you're receiving? Thanks!

Do you still have that VM available? If so, could you give it another try now? That should be corrected. Thanks!

Thanks, I'll spin up another one and report back shortly.

Amazon Linux is now at 2014.3
update is choking on perl dependencies:
[ec2-user@blahblah ~]$ sudo yum update --downloadonly
Loaded plugins: priorities, update-motd, upgrade-helper
amzn-main/latest | 2.1 kB 00:00
amzn-updates/latest | 2.3 kB 00:00
15 packages excluded due to repository priority protections

You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
You could try running: rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest

Are the errors you shared above what you receive while running a "yum update"?
And is this a server you have online now? If so, would it be possible for us to log in and take a look?
Thanks!
Submitted by PlayGod on Tue, 04/01/2014 - 13:41 Comment #10
andreycheck, yes the server is online now, let me know how you want to access the server.
Yes, that is result of yum update
And this is in regard to Amazon Linux 2014.3, the latest version just released last week.

One way for us to get access would be to email login details to eric@virtualmin.com. You could also install the Virtualmin Support module and enable remote support, or you could open a new support request, mark it as private, and include the details there.
