Hello there,
Kind of a new user to virtualmin, and not sure if I should be concerned or not. I've set up a few test virtual servers in virtualmin as a test. About 7 minutes after I created the virtual server, I got an email that said:
"Monitor on vhost1.xxxxxxxx.com for 'Website www.testing12.review.xxxxxxxx.com' has detected that the service has gone down at 17/Sep/2013 15:45:"
Now, here's why I'm not sure if I should be concerned. Currently, the subdomain "review.xxxxxxxx.com" is hosted externally at a provider, but will be moved over to this virtualmin instance internally soon. So, technically "testing12.review.xxxxxxxx.com" is unreachable until I flip the DNS switch. So, should I not worry about this email? Or does the monitoring service use a different method to see if the site is up? Before we migrate a bunch of sites internally, I want to make sure my virtualmin setup is working like it should.
Hopefully this makes sense. Please let me know what you think.
thanks!

I wouldn't worry about this - the monitoring will probably be trying to check the remote system, depending on your DNS configuration.
