Hi.
When setting up a new server, All my settings indicate that the new server owner can create unlimited Databases. Yet inthe webmin login for the user, there is no option to create a new database.
Moreover, this extends down to various other parts of the system. With scripts installation etc, a new Database is needed to be created with all these scripts, i dont see any options for that.
I installed PhpMyadmin and it says the user does not have the rights to create a database.
I like the idea of adding a prefix in the starting of a new database for users, to avoid clashes but users do need to make new databases. Its one of the most essential parts of hosting a webserver.
Please look into this as soon as possible.
For the time being i have manually allowed the user i wanted to grant access to create databases. I am not so sure that the prefix will be added to all new databases created this way or not.
Thanks.
Faisal.

Was this problem fixed ?
I seem to have the same problem.
I have set up an account plan and a template for "gold" users to have 25 databases, but when the user goes to his control panel, they do not have permission to creat a new database ???
This is pretty urgent.

Do they just not see an option to create a database, or do they get an error when they attempt to create it?
Some things to check --
Make sure that in Edit Virtual Servers, that the MySQL Login Enabled feature is checked.
Also, in Administration Options -> Edit Owner Limits, in the Allowed capabilities and features section, verify that "Can manage databases" is checked.
