Hi, I like to have php release 5.3 available for at least one site required for a payment application. Existing other site will still use the 5.2 release.
How can this be arranged?

Howdy -- you have two options on CentOS 5.x.
Option number one, is that since CentOS 5.6, you can replace your php-* packages with php53-* packages. CentOS/RHEL offers those as an alternative, since the default PHP version shipped with CentOS is getting older... the newer packages are version 5.3.3.
Alternatively, there's instructions for running PHP 5.3.x along side your current PHP version here:
