From the license page (10 instance): "Cloudmin annual (1 year) license for ten guest instances using any virtualization technology supported by Cloudmin (Xen, vserver, Zones, EC2)." and http://www.virtualmin.com/node/10411 it seems that you license per guest instance. In this case, when having more than one Cloudmin independent hosts, are we compliant if the total number of guest instances doesn't exceed 10?

Howdy -- that's correct -- it's just about how many guest instances Cloudmin is managing... that can be spread out across any number of hosts.
If you have any other questions, feel free to let us know!

So should we keep track manually of how many guests we already have installed in multiple installed hosts? Or you have a validation on each VM creation?
Let's say we have a Cloudmin Pro 10 instance licence used for 5 Cloudmin Pro hosts, each with 2 VMs installed (typical case for us). What happens if we install a 6th host and try to create a VM?
Once we reach the 10 guests limit should we buy a separate license or upgrade the existing one?

Cloudmin will notify you whenever you try to create more than 10 guests, it won't actually create an 11th.
At that point, you can just log into the site here, and buy an upgrade to a Cloudmin 25 (or which ever license best suits your needs).
You wouldn't need a second license though, just upgrading to a license that supports a higher number of guests would be all you need.

We have 4 managed VMs on a Cloudmin Pro 10 host. Now we installed a new host with the same installer - that comes with the license builtin - and I can't add any machine on the new system.
The Create KVM Instance options does not appear.
Can you help?

Are you trying to manage the new host from your existing Cloudmin installation?
If so, you don't need to re-run the installer on the new host. You just have to set it up as documented on http://www.virtualmin.com/documentation/cloudmin/virtualization/kvm

No, the new host is an independent host. It is managed by our team but it is not directly connected to the first host. So we ran the installer on that host.
We need to know if this is a licensing issue or something else, so that we can move one with this new install.

My apologies -- it sounds like I misunderstood your question, and I think I gave you incorrect information!
When you asked about an independent host -- I mistakenly thought you were asking about Cloudmin's feature where it can setup Cloudmin guests on remote systems.
That's one of our favorite features :-)
But it sounds like you were talking about setting up Cloudmin on a completely separate host, that has no connection at all to the host where Cloudmin is currently installed.
In that particular case -- you would indeed need a separate Cloudmin license for that host.
So to clarify --
One Cloudmin installation can manage Cloudmin guests across any number of servers.
However, if you wish to have a new installation of Cloudmin, as it sounds like you're looking to do with this particular server -- a new Cloudmin installation would need a unique license.
Sorry for the confusion!

So now that the system is installed I only need to purchase a license and insert the license code on the installed system, right?

Problem solved, after purchasing a new license.

Yup, that's the correct way to resolve your issue, to just use the new serial number and license key on that installation.
I'll mark this as fixed, but if you have any other questions, please feel free to let us know!
