MySQL root passwords blank after initial install script on centos 5

After my successful fresh installation of virtualmin pro on centos 5, I discovered (accidently, really) that the mysql server root passwords are blank, instead of being synced with the root password...

For me, this is a bug, because I could have left this password wide open for quite some time without realizing it, making the mysql part easy to be powned.
