Hello,
We have set up a domain on virtualmin, let's call it
somedomain.com, and added a subdomain that we shall call
subdomain.somedomain.com
In fact we only need the subdomain on this system, and the
real main domain.com is on another server.
The dns is not on this server, and is set up so that
subdomain.somedomain.com points on this server, and
somedomain.com on the other server. I hope I'm clear enough.
But then we have trouble with mails : when someone on this
first server sends an email to subdomain.somedomain.com it
reaches the inboxes, but when he/she sends a mail to
somedomain.com, virtualmin (postfix maybe?) thinks the mail
is on this server (local) and so the mail doesn't go out the
box to the correct domain.com (other server).
So maybe it is a 'conceptual' problem in our setup, but
what could we do so that the subdomain stays on this server
while the main domain is elsewhere, and so that the mails
reach that external domain correctly ?
Should we create the subdomain.somedomain.com directly in
virtual min ?
