We recently upgraded our server from 8.08 to 12.04 and find that all the Mac users are unable to send email. They all have ssl check on their outgoing mail server, which must have worked on the old server but not on the new. Is it difficult to allow SSL (995) to work alongside port 25? Here is the error message we see on the server: gto postfix/smtpd[14498]: SSL_accept error from unknown... The clients just get the "untrusted message" and when they hit connect, it just brings them right back to the message again.

Howdy -- thanks, that error message is helpful!
When restoring Virtual Servers to a new server, although it'll automatically setup the SSL cert within Apache, it won't automatically copy that certificate out to Postfix and Dovecot.
One thing you may want to try is to go into Server Configuration -> Manage SSL Certificate for the domain that holds your SSL Cert, and click the various "Copy to N" buttons there, which will copy that SSL Cert out to your various services.
At the moment, you may just be using the standard self-signed SSL cert that comes with Ubuntu.

We were actually just using the self-signed cert on the old server, but your suggestion led me to the answer. When I went to Server Configuration, Manage SSL was not an option. Apparently, in moving the server, the Use SSL option was not checked on the new server. I checked that, and everything started working again. Thanks Jeff
