Hi Jamie,
I had already installed the previous 3.52. on 3 of my four Virtualmin machines. An additonal machine was running 3.50. All the machines are running Centos 3.9.
I think I've only installed the new 3.52 on two machines. On both of them, after the install, Virtualmin wasn't responding. After I restarted the machine, I was able to get to Virtualmin.
One of the machines is a dns slave. I didn't realize that it was unresponsive after the upgrade. I created a new virtualmin server on the box that is the master dns, It didn't go past creating the slave records - although the slave was created on the other slave dns server running the previous 3.52 (I'm pretty sure that I didn't install the new 3.52 on that machine.)
(the other machine I had upgraded to the new 3.52 was the one that was running 3.50.)
After I restarted the slave that had locked up, I tried creating a second new virtualmin server on the master. I got this error at Adding new DNS zone
.. BIND DNS domain failed! : Failed to lock file /var/named/chroot after 5 minutes at /usr/libexec/webmin/web-lib-funcs.pl line 980.
I've never had that error before. And had created a new server yesterday.
The initial domain I was setting up was gloriwilcox.com for the second try, I used gloriawilcom1.com
On the machine that I was creating the virtualmin server, I found this in the webmin log
Error: Failed to lock file /etc/webmin/virtual-server/names/gloriawilcox.com after 5 minutes.
I tried to validate the virtual server gloriawilcom1.com and it returned all features ok - there's no dns record for it though...
The master machine is https://112.planetlink.com:10000 you can use the same login as for the other machine.
