Doing a fresh install of cloudmin pro over centos 6.2 today. Noted problem at end of installation but thought nothing of it until I noticed system being incredibly slow to respond when logging into cloudmin gui and navigating to other menu items.
Looking back at installation, I find the following error at tbe end:
hostname: Host name lookup failure Setting up BIND for first time .. Error: Failed to open /var/named/chroot/var/run/named.pid for writing : Bad file descriptor
Error
Failed to open /var/named/chroot/var/run/named.pid for writing : Bad file descriptor
How do I correct this? Could this be the source of the slow down? /Richard

Try going to Webmin -> Servers -> BIND DNS Server, click on the Module Config link, and set "Chroot directory to run BIND under" to "None". You should then be able to start BIND.
