Virtualmin - This backup cannot be restored without breaking the configuration of this system.

A user overwrote some website code and wanted to get it back. No problem, let's go to the backups. I took the backup file from before the change was made and downloaded it to my workstation.

On another Virtualmin (development) machine, same OS, same configuration (or so I thought), went to Virtualmin > Backup and Restore > Restore Backup, uploaded the file, and clicked on the button "Show what will be restored". When the file got uploaded and Virtualmin did its thing, a page came up saying
Are you sure you want to restore the selected domains and features from uploaded file? Any existing data for the features in these domains will be over-written!

Warning - the following features were enabled in one or more of the domains in the backup, but are not enabled on this system : Plugin virtualmin-google-analytics

This backup cannot be restored without breaking the configuration of this system.

First of all, thank you for preventing me from breaking my configuration. My next step will be to install that plugin and re-run the restore, not a major deal (much smaller than reconstructing the system).

The "feature request" would be to add a link (like exists on other pages when processing is complete) for what to do next, like "return to module index". Low priority, of course.

Thanks

I installed the module (note that the module installed was wbm-virtualmin-google-analytics with a wbm- prefix) went to do a restore, and realized I could just restore the home directory and web pages instead of everything. However there was another warning

I enabled the Analytics Tracking module and restore completed successfully.

Thats pretty much expected behavior ... If a feature isn't enabled on the target system, it isn't safe to restore a backup with those features enabled - hence the warning.
