I had been running virtualmin well.
Suddenly, the creation of virtual web server has failed
The error message DBI connect failed: Access denied for user 'root' @ 'localhost'
phpmyadmin is a well-connected.
access to mysql as root in putty is well.
when click [ Re-check and refresh configuration]
MySQL does not appear to be installed and running on your system, or has not yet been set up properly in Webmin's MySQL Database module. If your system does not use MySQL, it should be disabled in Virtualmin's module configuration page.
.. your system is not ready for use by Virtualmin.
In my opinion, webmin or virtualmin mysql set up on seeing that the information is incorrect, how can i fix it. Could you please let me know.

Sounds like Webmin is connecting to MySQL with the wrong root password.
From the left menu, try going to Webmin -> Servers -> MySQL Database, and then enter the correct
root
password that you've been using from the command line.Submitted by andreychek on Sat, 03/10/2012 - 11:59 Comment #2
Howdy -- you may want to go into Webmin -> Servers -> MySQL -> Module Config, and reset your MySQL root password in the "Administration password" field. It's possible that it's somehow out of sync with what Virtualmin thinks it should be.
Remember though that the Support area here is for Virtualmin Pro customers... it looks like you're using Virtualmin GPL there. If you have any additional questions, we'd encourage you to post those in the forums. We monitor the forums, along with lots of wonderful folks from the community. Thanks!
