I noticed after JAVA updated on our windows 2000 box that remote access to filemanager and just abount anything else JAVA in VM was reduced to slower than a crawl. Really, filemanager literaly took 15 minutes to come up and clicking a folder might take 5 minutes to open. I'd noticed the JAVA 6 update version 3 in the add/remove. On a whim I removed the JAVA update and VM remote access returned to normal.
Has JAVA thrown VM a curve in their update? I had to turn off JAVA auto updates on the workstation to avert a repeat but will have to update sometime.
