On a virtual server that has reverse DNS only, validation fails complaining of no A records. Also on virtual servers with DNS only, validation complains that the A record for the domain is pointing to another host. Is there any way to make these validate? Or is there a way something could be added as a switch to define what type of virtual server it is, allowing validation to be different?

Could you explain further what you mean by a virtual server with reverse DNS only? Do you mean that it doesn't have a regular DNS zone for the domain name?

That's correct. the virtual server domain is x.x.x.x.in-addr.arpa

Ok .. for that kind of domain, you don't really want to create it using the regular Virtualmin UI. Instead, click on Webmin on the top-left and go to Servers -> BIND DNS Server -> Create master zone. Then set the "Zone type" to "Reverse" and enter the network address in the field below (like 1.2.3 instead of 3.2.1.in-addr.arpa).
