Path for saving the zonefiles

Is it possible to change the path where the zonefiles are stored?

Or is it possible to change the named.conf.local template so that relative path to the zonefiles are used?

Why, we will copy the zonefiles and the named.conf.local to our two frontend DNS servers. Webmin synchronisation is not an option, as there is no webmin on the frontend DNS's. And to have all the files in /etc/bind is just not practical.
