Just a quick question guys. I'm about 600 miles away from my server right now and it has been telling me there is an apache update for the last several days. I just wanted to make sure it was coming from you guys and not just the Ubuntu repository. I know there have been problems in the past with the ubuntu version which is why you guys supply your own modified version.
Thanks!

Howdy -- Virtualmin doesn't actually provide an Apache version for Ubuntu 10.04.
What you're seeing is a Ubuntu-provided security updated, regarding this security issue here:

Ah ok. Unlike 6.06 LTS where you guys did have a special version. I'll go ahead and apply the update then. Thanks Andrey!

Yup, you're correct! Older versions of Ubuntu and Debian, along with all versions of CentOS, do indeed have a Virtualmin supplied version of Apache. That main change made is just the location of where suexec points... it's otherwise taken from the vendor-supplied Apache version.
More recently, Ubuntu and Debian have begun offering a configurable suexec location, so Virtualmin doesn't need to supply a custom Apache version for those distros.
