The current version of phplist (2.11.3) included with Virtualmin 3.47 is a development release. It is not meant to be used in production, and it does have bugs. In particular, it does not properly send HTML mail to Gmail addresses, so this is a pretty major problem for people who want to use this script.
The current stable release is 2.10.5, released on September 3, 2007. This should be the primary release available in the Virtualmin script installers.
