Since I've been looking for a good client billing and management panel for quite a while, I'm just trying out WHMCS (installed via the Virtualmin script installer). So far I quite like what I see.
A question: Is there a way to determine the features a domain created in Virtualmin from WHMCS will get activated?
I tried using a specific plan and setting Virtualmin to use the plan features instead of the default, but it seems the API request that gets sent contains the "default-features" directive, which kinda thwarts my idea.
Can WHMCS only create Virtualmin servers with the default features I set there?

Yes, you can select the default features at System Settings -> Features and Plugins, using the checkboxes in the "Default" column. WHMCS may have some other method of selecting features, but that would be a question for the WHMCS developers ...
you can create several server templates in virtualmin and you create products within WHMCS with your preferred template from virtualmin.
Under module setting in WHMCS (when creating a product under set up) you must provide the correct name of your virtualmin template to have it become effective.
In virtualmin you need to name your plan the exact way as the server template it belongs to.

Thanks you two! :)
@ronald: Yup, I'm aware of how to choose the Virtualmin template and plan to use for the products in WHMCS. But templates don't include the features to activate, and the plan's settings to do so are ignored due to the mentioned "default-features" directive in the "create-domain" API call.
@jamie: Yeah I'm also aware of the "default" column checkboxes, that's how I found out about WHMCS' behavior there. I was hoping to be able to configure individual feature sets for individual products in WHMCS. But you're right of course, this is rather a matter to bring up with the WHMCS guys. I shall do so -- and if the developers there are anything as customer-friendly as you here are, they'll surely grant me this request. :-)
Thanks, and closed.
