is there is a way to configure phpmyadmin to be installed -whithout- the "information_schema" link ?
Is there is a way to let us choise it during the install process ?
Is there is a way to define it as a default behaviour when the install is an automated task during a virtual server creation ?

Howdy -- well, phpMyAdmin allows users to gain access to databases they have rights to see. The "information_schema" database just contains metadata about the databases on the system, and isn't something that any user can modify or delete. But all users have rights to view it.

If you don't want your users to be able to see that database from within phpMyAdmin, you'd need to manually update the config.inc.php file that's installed with phpMyAdmin, and set this:

$cfg['Servers'][$i]['hide_db'] = 'information_schema';

The above would make it not show up in the dropdown list. However, they still would be able to view the information_schema database from outside of phpMyAdmin.

Hi, That works Fine ! Thanks Marc.
