Bug in vm 3.83

If the global admin enables analytics for a server, it is not listed under "enabled features " in the "virtual server admin" view.

Does the admin perhaps not have permissions to manage that feature? This is set at Administration Options -> Edit Owner Limits.

The flag is not set. But the "local" admin is able to "Logs/Errors->Edit Analytics Accounts", so shouldn't it be listed as enabled feature?

Actually even if the flag is set with Edit Owners the features is still not listed under enabled features. Sounds like a bug :-)

So in the "Allowed features for servers" section on the "Edit Owner Limits" page, the "Analytics reporting" box is checked?

just to make sure there is not misunderstanding:

In my case that checkbox is actually called "analytics tracking"

I just thought of another reason why this option might not appear - is the domain in question an alias or sub-domain? They don't support analytics tracking ..

No, it is just a regular domain. I tested this also in your demo. You can reproduce this in your demo as well(it is probably easier writing back and forth :-)?

In the demo, the domain owner isn't even allowed to enable features at all though, and the analytics feature is disabled globally. However, when I enable both of these and then login as the domain owner, I can enable that feature just fine..

Yes, you can enable it. But if the analytics is enabled for a server (by the "global admin/host"), it is not listed under "enabled features " in the "virtual server admin" view (for the "local admin").

Or let me rephrase: The view the "local admin" sees when he clicks on "Virtual Server Details"->"Enabled Features" doesn't list "Analytics tracking", even if it is enabled (for a "regular" domain).

Ok, I see what you mean now .. I didn't realize initially that this only happened when viewing a domain.

This will be fixed in the 3.84 Virtualmin release.
