I'd like to see a way for an SPF record created through the TXT record method automatically be detected and added to Virtualmin as a SPF record.
I often copy/paste SPF record specs from third parties directly into the TXT record form, as this is easier than separating the code into the appropriate SPF fields.
Anyways, a penny for your thoughts :-)

This should already happen - if you go to Services -> DNS Domain -> Text and create a TXT record in SPF format, it will be detected as SPF in future and displayed in the "Sender Permitted From" records section.
Jamie,
I'd hope you'd say that. But sadly, it didn't work as intended.
I published the following TXT record:
mydomain.com. IN TXT "v=spf1 exists:%{i}._spf.mailhostbox.com redirect=_spf.mailhostbox.com"
While the record "works", it remains listed under the "Text" records section.
Perhaps this can be addressed in an upcoming release, as personally while I see it as a potential bug, the fact that the record works as a valid DNS record, it seems this could be a low priority fix.

Ok, I see why this isn't working .. Webmin doesn't know how to parse the exists: SPF tag. I will fix this in the 1.540 Webmin release.
Jamie,
Appreciated. As noted, low priority. Just more of an FYI :-)
