I"ve got 5 Virtualmin based servers and love the product but there is one thing that is always problematic and I MUST SOLVE. Its the email. Somehow the virtual domains created on the Virtaulmin servers just don't work automatically. We work mainly with Duapl and when a site is installed it should just send email without having to configure smtp or whatever.
I never have this happen with Cpanel servers. I also know this is a vague question and I'm not walking through specific instances. Its so across the board that I'm hoping there is a single think you an say is usually the reason this happens.
What is the biggest difference between Exim and postfix or whatever the different mail applications are? Is there a hierarcy of things from most likely to less likely????
It is not The hosting as I've got many of the machines on the same hosting environment but not all. Virtualmin and Cpanel server of the same os inside the same hosting environment behave the same way. Cpanel email works out of the box for new virtual domains and Virutalmin virtual domains are not working .. unless I configure smpt or Gmail or something for the domains or just skip it.
