Address option not set...

Hello, i'm trying to add to cloudmin some xen VMs on a debian 5 xen host. Registered the host and lauched the 'find xen instances' command from gui. Cloudmin complains with this output:

Processing Xen configuration file /etc/xen/OFFICE1.cfg .. the address option is not set in the config file

Processing Xen configuration file /etc/xen/OFFICE_OLD.cfg .. the address option is not set in the config file

the 'address' option isn't an option at all in xen4 so - what can i do to fix/workaround this? PS cannot add any VMs in the cloudmin interface with this kind of warning.

Many thanks

Unfortunately Cloudmin hasn't been tested with Xen 4 yet, only Xen version 3.

However, you can work around this issue by adding the VMs one by one at Add System -> Add Xen Instance.

I presume that your VMs have a "vifs" line with ip= in them to specific the IP address? If so, the next Cloudmin release will fetch the address from there instead..

ok - thanks Jamie. Another question about this: most of xen guest we have, are windows paravirtualized guest - so neither 'ip=' nor 'vif=' with an valid IP address are required in the .cfg file (the windows guest takes its IP at boot time from the operating system and NOT from cloudmin).

So how can we accomodate this kind of setup?
