I get this error when creating a XEN VM from the virtualmin ubuntu 8.04 64-bit image:
Enabling background status collection .. .. failed : Error: Cron jobs cannot be managed on your system, as the module configuration is not valid : The command crontab for managing user Cron configurations was not found. Maybe Cron is not installed on this system? Error ----- Cron jobs cannot be managed on your system, as the module configuration is not valid : The command crontab for managing user Cron configurations was not found. Maybe Cron is not installed on this system? -----
It's not a showstopper, just thought you guys might want to be aware of it

Thanks for pointing this out - for some reason, a default Ubuntu install doesn't always include cron!
I have just created a new version 2.1 Ubuntu 8.04 64-bit image which fixes this - you can download it immediately.
