I have a situation where my event registration component is sending duplicate emails, and I need to assess.
It would be great to have an easy way in Vmin to query the email log.

Howdy -- in Logs and Reports, there's an option "Search Mail Logs" which is supposed to help sort through problems just like you're describing.
Will that do what you're after?

Also, you can go to Webmin -> System -> System Logs -> /var/log/mail.log -> View, and search from there.

Great answers, guys. I don't know why I didn't see that. I use the Logs to look at Apache errors all the time.
