Using Alien Nameservers

I have a customer what wants me to host a sub domain locally for mail services but wants to be able to host the website on an another server. My IP is 70.127.119.218. He wants the website to be hosted at IP address 98.129.126.138.

The problem is that when I enter the IP address 98.129.126.138. into the nameserver "A" record the system freaks out and reports that 98.129.126.138. is not a valid IP address which it is not on my subnet.

How would I go about building a bridge between 98.129.126.138. and 70.127.119.218?

What is the exact error message that you are getting when you try to change the A record?

Webmin and Virtualmin don't impose any restrictions on which subnet an IP address is on ..

Figured out it's a NAT issue.

The work around was simply to have him create his subdomain on his server then I edited the MX, A and CNAME records to allow me to administer mail services on the subdomain.
