hello,
It would be a nice feature when it's possible to setup the mail in avirtual server as a backupmailserver. This is usefull for clients who have their own local mail evironment like a MicroSoft Exchange, Zimbra or some other mail server.
The Virtualmin can check the incomming mail for spam and/or Virusses. and tag that mail. After thisproces tyhemail will send to the local mail server. If the local mailserver at the client is down (Connection problems, maintenance....) The virtualmin server wil collect the mail and send it when the mailserver is up again. This without any notice to the sender.
VirtualMin can also ping the exchange server to see if it is online. The master admin can see if the local server is available.
Regards,
Martin Koekenberg

You can actually do this already, although the spam / virus filtering when relaying only works if you are using Sendmail as your mail server.
For instructions, see : http://www.virtualmin.com/documentation/id,mail_relaying_with_virtualmin/
