I've been adding to the Custom Links feature and found it to be quite useful for basically adding bookmarks to Virtualmin. I've added links such as domain tools (DNS, RBL, Whois, etc.), web development resources, search tools, and other sites that would be generally useful to domain owners. As the list grows, I've noticed two main problems that would be ripe for future enhancements:
- There is no easy way to "organize" the list of links. Here are three suggestions to improve this issue:
- Add arrow buttons to move links up and down in the list or re-order them, and possibly a sort button to just sort the whole list alphabetically.
- Add an option to create a certain number of links all at once, so it doesn't have to done only two at a time and then manually reloaded.
- Allow a hierarchy structure, so links can be sub-categorized into folders, similar to the way most browsers allow bookmark management. In my case, this would allow separating out the sites for domain tools, search tools, web development resources, etc.
