Hi Jamie, seems to be that Webmin (Virtualmin in this case) does not detect the state of the named process correctly. In the virtualmin tab the service is stated as down. Every 30 minutes aprox Webmin starts a new named which causes the server to malfunction after a certain amount of time. Remote options are granted.

Looks like the path to the BIND PID file was set incorrectly at Webmin -> Servers -> BIND DNS Server -> Module Config. I fixed this, and all is well now.
