The "i" attribute (lsattr FILENAME) is set for files on:
/home//fcgi-bin/php.cgi
so they can't be edited.
What is the oficial procedure on Virtualmin to alter such files os all vhosts?

This is intentional, so that users cannot delete those files and cause Apache or PHP to fail.
All editing is done via Virtualmin, which removes the i flag when needed..

OK understood. Where in Virtualmin are those settings changed?

On the Website Options page. Or do you mean where in the code?
