Hi
Ill be installing a new server end of this year which I want to use for VPS with cloudmin.
Where can I find images and do they contain Virtualmin and webmin?
Also I want to try it out on my home PC so I can learn now before getting the server. I emailed Joe about the Cloudmin license last week or so.

When you install Cloudmin, you get access to images we have pre-created with Webmin and Virtualmin, or just the base OS. They can be downloaded to your system for use at Cloudmin Settings -> New System Images.
What did you email Joe about? He might have missed that mail .. but I can help.
I replied Joe (on 28-11) I want to take him up on his offer concerning the cloudmin license. His mails are from june/july. Subject is Re: Thanks!
thank you ronald

I'm sorry to highjack this thread, but I'm sure the OP will want to know the answer to my question as well.
How / where do we get additional images, with other OS's, like OpenSuse / Mandriva / Slackware / Gentoo / FreeBSD / OpenBSD etc?

SoftDux - Cloudmin comes with images for Debian, Ubuntu, Fedora and CentOS, and I think Gentoo - they can be downloaded to your system for use at Cloudmin Settings -> New System Images.
For other OS types, you would need to manually create a Xen instance, install your OS into it and then bring it under Cloudmin's control. This will allow you to create an image of it, and then other systems from that image.
This will be made easier once we add support for booting an empty Xen instance from a CD image..

Thanx JamieCameron,
I already downloaded all the available XEN images there is, and there's only CentOS, Ubuntu, Debian & Fedora Core.
My question was more in the lines of, "are you planning to add more OS's, and do you (i.e. CloudMin developers) update these images from time to time?

We do keep them up to date, but aren't planning on adding any more unless some new distro rapidly gains in popularity. The reason is that maintaining and keeping all those images up to date is a lot of work..
