create a mail user with local delivery and forward

Hello!

We find an issue in: Edit Mail and FTP Users -> Edit Mailbox -> Mail forwarding settings

there are 3 checkboxes: Deliver to this user normally
Forward to other addresses Send automatic reply

some customer select the first 2 options and set up a local mailbox and their gmail etc mail addresses. but overall the situation the forward stuff do not work, postfix just deliver normally. We check the postfix config and do not see anything about the forward.

The question is: 1. is that a radio button not a checkbox so just a layout error. 2. layout is ok but do not work well.

thanks Lawrence

If you select both the "Deliver locally" and "Forward" checkboxes, mail should be both put in his inbox and sent on to the specified destinations ..

What gets logging to /var/log/mail.log when email is sent to this address?

Also, if you re-edit the user, are the local delivery and forwarding selections properly displayed?

Yes, both checkboxes are checked and we try reedit the user too and that's show everything ok. i check 2-3 users and all have the same effect.

I see in the maillog only the local delivery, no a single forward try.

Could you post the exact lines that get logged related to delivery to this user?

There may be several lines for the same email, so make sure you copy them all ..

i try find it out but we have 2500 mail users and they make a really mass traffic on the server so very hard to find out this in the logs. it's on my tasklist and be back asap if i will have time to do the log snippets.

with some log analyze we found some things: First of all, the ticket is false, it work correctly.

the problem was with the gmail, the gmail forward is not working well, somehow the email is disappear. it's never reach the gmail mailbox, but do not bounce so no idea what it is, it's only a gmail issue all other hosts are ok for us. (log said sent is succesful from our server) anyway it can be closed, maybe i will post about it on the forums if we do not find a solution soon.

thanks Lawrence
