Is it possible to grant website FTP access to an existing user without having to create a separate account for them? I see the "Allow access to web directories" section under the other user permissions, but I don't think this is related. I assume the answer is no, since the website FTP access user has their home directory set to the public_html folder, and their uid/gid matches the admin user, but maybe there is some new feature I am unaware of....

Unfortunately, no .. a website FTP access user is a special case as it has the same UID and GID as the domain owner, in order to allow access to all files.
The "Allow access to web directories" section is for password-protected web access.
